Second, using your account name and password, you then enter into our SSL-secured server based in Chicago and register all the information to create your Unique Personal US Address and Account number. You will be asked for personal details for recording purposes only (please refer to our Privacy Policy).


If you still feel more comfortable opening an account by phone or fax, e-mail us at sales@myUSmailbox.com and we will gladly e-mail you our application form for you to fill-up and fax back to us to formally open your US Account number and Postal Address.

Membership to myUSmailbox.com is absolutely free for a limited period of time! All shipping charges are based on the current carrier rates depending on your package's actual weight or dimensional weight* (whichever is higher). If you have no shipments, you will not be charged anything at all.

* Dimensional weight in POUNDS is measured by multiplying (in inches) the length by the width by the height of the object, divided by 166. This is often used for large & bulky packages with low weight. This is a standard procedure used by airlines, courier and freight companies.

If I wanted to ship via a cheaper but slower carrier, will myUSmailbox.com allow me to do so?

Of course! MyUSmailbox.com will follow your preferred method regarding the shipment of your packages - be it the speedier air freight delivery or the slower sea freight option. Either way, your packages and mails will reach you with world-class reliability and efficiency.

What about customs charges?
For your convenience, MyUSmailbox.com Country Hub in your country will handle all of the customs procedures for free if shipment method you will use is our private MyUSmailbox courier. You are however responsible for the payment of such duties. We may have the option to initially pay the customs duties on your behalf to clear your package, in which case you will be billed afterwards. For regular postal shipments or Door-to-door couiriers, you will directly deal with them to settle customs and other duties and taxes, if any.

Are there other modes of payment besides using a credit card?
Yes there are. You can pay through Western Union, Postal Money Order, Bank telegraphic Transfer, or regular USA-based bank cheque. Your package/mail however won't be sent until payment has been cleared. As such, we highly recommend that you use your credit card for maximum security and quick clearance.

Are my shipments insured?
You have a choice of whether or not to insure your package. MyUSmailbox.com will handle all the insurance details. Of course, standard fees will apply.

If I receive a package that I don't want through my virtual address, do I still have to pay for it?
You will only be charged for packages that has your correct name and account number. As long as something is delivered to your virtual address correctly, we will automatically forward to your desired destination. If our US Hub negligently sent to you packages that are not yours, we will not charge the weight costs to you.

5. Shipping Information
Can I choose the mode of shipment for my packages?
Yes, you can choose between Air Freight or Sea Freight Options. MyUSmailbox.com uses it own freight forwarding network. So, you do the shopping and we handle the paperwork.

How can myusmailbox.com ensure the safety of my package?
MyUSmailbox.com is directly responsible for your package as long as it is at your virtual address. Before it arrives, the vendor's carrier is responsible for your package. Once we ship it, it will be your carrier of choice that will have responsibility over your package. Should anything happen to your package, however, myUSmailbox.com will fully cooperate in locating whoever's responsible for your package's mishandling.

How long would it take for my package to reach me?
Once your shipment arrives at your virtual address, we shall immediately process, sort, prepare airway bills and invoices, and forward to your desired destination within 5 working days. The time it takes for your package to arrive will then depend on the shipping option you have chosen. Air Freight usually take 3-5 working days from the time your shipment leaves the US Hub. Sea Freight method shall take a longer time.

So who's responsible if my package gets lost?
Whoever had physical possession of your package at the time it was lost will be responsible. MyUSmailbox.com, however, will do its utmost to help investigate the loss.

Is it possible to track my shipments?
MyUSmailbox.com keeps track of when your virtual address has received your package and when it was sent out. We will provide you information regarding the carrier of your choice once we ship your package from your virtual address. That way, you can monitor your package through your carrier of choice's tracking system. However, postal shipments and sea-freight shipping are not currently trackable.

6. Confirmation
Do I need to confirm my shipments?

There is no need to confirm if your shipment has all the complete information (source, description of contents, value, correct US account number and Address, method of delivery to forward to your desired destination). Your US address can receive any form of shipment as long as it is addressed to you.

To prevent unwanted delivery and costs, myUSmailbox.com makes it a point to confirm first from you before we do any cost-incurring shipping IF any of the needed information of the shipment is incomplete or lacking. At myUSmailbox.com, you pay only for what you want.

7. Termination
How do I terminate my account with MyUSmailbox.com?
Simply go to www.myUSmailbox.com and follow the step-by-step procedure to terminate your account. You can however email us at sales@myusmailbox.com. We will send you a reply email to confirm your termination request. After your email confirmation your account will then officially terminated; all packages henceforth received at this terminated account shall be automatically liquidated.
